Who we are
COCIDECHC works through a community-based approach, partnering with local communities and structures to respond to humanitarian needs, protect vulnerable populations,
strengthen livelihoods, and build long-term resilience.
COCIDECHC (Coordination Citoyenne pour les Grands Chantiers de Développement Communautaire) is a Haitian non-governmental organization created on December 8, 2008. Its mandate is to support and strengthen populations facing difficult conditions, particularly in the departments of Artibonite and Centre, while contributing to local capacity building and sustainable improvements in living conditions.
The organization has developed a multisectoral approach covering areas including child protection, food security, agriculture, water and sanitation, health, nutrition, education,
livelihoods, environmental resilience, and disaster risk management.
Its current strategy gives particular attention to the Bas-Artibonite and the Chaîne des Cahos, while allowing interventions to expand according to needs, access,
partnerships, and available resources

COCIDECHC’s strength comes from its proximity to communities, knowledge of local realities, community networks, and ability to operate in challenging environments.
The organization combines local presence with multisectoral expertise in protection, agriculture, WASH, health, education, livelihoods, and disaster risk management.
